In Gouda, a person died on Tuesday afternoon after a shooting incident. The suspect is on the run. The police assume there is one suspect. Nothing has been announced yet about the identity of the victim and the reason.
The incident happened at 3:30 PM on Bosweg in Gouda. Multiple shots were fired, a police spokesperson tells NU.nl. The victim was hit.
The first emergency services arrived “five to ten minutes” after the first report, the spokesperson reports. The seriously injured victim was treated on the street and died about half an hour later. The emergency services stretched a sail to shield the victim, reports Omroep West.
The police have not yet announced the identity of the victim because they still have to inform the family, the spokesperson explains.
