Omroep MAX presenter Martine van Os wants to act again. She said this on Sunday in the podcast Slagter en Dresselhuys weten het beter. Van Os has been presenting the daily talk show Tijd voor MAX since 2008. Since then, her acting career has been on the back burner.
Thanks to her participation in the TV program Make Up Your Mind three years ago, the fire was rekindled, says the 68-year-old Van Os in the podcast. “I was allowed to play and sing and dance again.”
The presenter wants to rediscover herself as an actress. “Work is being done on it,” she shares. “That is a process, it is not something that you put together again from one day to the next. It has to be something that suits you.”
Broadcasting director Jan Slagter reports in the podcast that they are looking into whether there is a drama series from Omroep MAX for which Van Os can be cast. “We are looking into that,” he says.
Van Os became mainly known to the general public as Juffrouw Dücker in the comedy series De Familie Oudenrijn, which was shown on television in the late eighties. In addition, she played roles in series such as Medisch Centrum West and Zeg ‘ns Aaa and she appeared in various Sinterklaas films.
