Marc Márquez also won the MotoGP race in Germany on Sunday. The Spaniard achieved his 69th victory in the premier class of motorsport and only has record holder Valentino Rossi ahead of him.

The 32-year-old Márquez led from start to finish at the Sachsenring. Fabio Di Giannantonio was three seconds behind in second place halfway through, but crashed. Shortly after, Marc Bezecchi suffered the same fate.

Álex Márquez had the second place handed to him. The 29-year-old Spaniard finished six seconds behind his brother. Two-time MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia finished third.

Márquez achieved his fourth victory in a row and his seventh victory of the year. In Germany, he rode his two-hundredth MotoGP race in his career.

In the ranking of most MotoGP victories, Márquez passes the Italian Giacomo Agostini. The Spaniard is now second only to Rossi, who holds the record with 89 victories.

Márquez is well on his way to his seventh world title. He is comfortably leading the championship with an 83-point lead over his brother. He last became world champion in 2019.
