Een man die dinsdag in het Gelderse Oosterbeek is aangehouden is in het politievoertuig onwel geworden en overleden. Dat meldt de politie dinsdagavond op X.
De politie schrijft dat hulp niet mocht baten en dat de Rijksrecherche, die onder het Openbaar Ministerie valt, onderzoek doet naar de omstandigheden.
De man werd rond 18.00 uur onwel. Hij was kort daarvoor aangehouden op de Veerweg.
Volgens lokale en regionale media gebeurde dat na een scootercontrole en ontstond bij de aanhouding een worsteling met de politie. De politie heeft dat niet bevestigd.
