Request Diddy Rejected: Rapper remains stuck for a decision in the sex offense

An American judge on Wednesday rejected Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ request to await the verdict in his sex trafficking case in freedom. A jury declared the 55-year-old American rapper largely innocent of human trafficking and extortion earlier on Wednesday.

The jury did find the rapper guilty of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution. As a result, he still faces a lengthy prison sentence. The judge will determine his sentence at a later time.

Diddy has been in jail in New York since his arrest in September last year. According to his son Christian, the rapper was happy after the jury found him partly guilty. His family was almost constantly present during the handling of the extensive case in recent weeks.

In the trial, which began on May 12, the prosecutors described Diddy as the leader of a criminal organization. According to the prosecutors, the rapper got away with the abuse of his partners and employees for years thanks to his money, power and influence.

But the jury ruled that Diddy is innocent of leading a criminal organization. They also found him not guilty of human trafficking and extortion.

According to the jury, Diddy is guilty of transporting his two ex-girlfriends for the purpose of using them for prostitution. This concerns Cassie Ventura and the woman who testified under the pseudonym Jane. They claimed that Diddy regularly forced them into “sex marathons”, because otherwise he would leak intimate videos of them or withdraw financial support.

The prosecutors are hoping for the maximum sentence of twenty years in prison. If Diddy had been found guilty of all offenses, he would have faced a life sentence. Diddy denied all accusations, but made no statement.
