Athletes Femke Bol and Ben Broeders are engaged. The couple shared this on Instagram on Wednesday with a photo of Bol showing off an engagement ring.
“My person for life, forever with you,” they wrote with the photo. The two met in the run-up to the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. They have been in a relationship ever since.
The 25-year-old Dutch athlete specializes in the 400 meters flat and the 400 meters hurdles. She won a gold medal in the 4×400 meter mixed relay at the recent Olympic Games.
In addition, Bol was crowned world champion in the 400 meter hurdles in 2023 and led the women’s relay team to World Cup gold in the 4×400 meters. She also won five European titles at the European Outdoor Championships.
The Belgian Broeders specializes in pole vaulting. He has been a Belgian champion in this event several times.
