Jessie J feels discomfort and slight pain after her breast cancer surgery. “But it’s going well,” the 37-year-old singer writes in a health update on Instagram.
“It is now eleven days after the surgery. What I miss most is being active as a mother and a human,” says Jessie J. “It’s still uncomfortable and a little painful at times, but I can handle that. I do my exercises and I eat all healthy things. I feel positive and grateful.”
Despite the discomfort, the singer has decided not to take painkillers anymore. “I stopped those medications. It’s not really my thing. I also want to be able to feel how it’s going.”
Earlier, several media reported that Jessie J was already cured of breast cancer. According to the artist, this was the result of a misinterpretation of a message from her. “I don’t have my results yet,” she said last week. “I hope it will be true soon, but unfortunately, healing from cancer is not that simple.”
The singer, who is known for songs like Bang Bang, Price Tag and Flashlight, announced in early June that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. “I will disappear from the radar for a while for my surgery. After that I will come back with more music,” she said at the time.
