Orlando Bloom appears to confirm on Instagram that he and Katy Perry are separating. The 48-year-old British actor has posted several texts about “a new beginning” after weeks of rumors.
“The most important thing is to take that first step,” Bloom quotes Japanese author Daisaku Ikeda. “Overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to face the next.”
Last week, American media reported the news that Bloom and Perry are separating after nine years. The American singer and the actor have been engaged since 2019 and had a daughter in 2020, Daisy Dove.
Rumors have been circulating for some time that things are not going well between the two. Perry has recently been seen without her engagement ring. Bloom attended the wedding of tech billionaire Jeff Bezos in Venice last weekend alone.
Bloom and Perry have not yet officially confirmed the breakup.
