Steven Spielberg is not going to retire ever

The 78-year-old director Steven Spielberg has no plans to retire. That reports The Hollywood Reporter.

During a special evening in his honor in Los Angeles, Spielberg stated that he plans to continue working. “I have no plans to ever retire,” the American filmmaker said in a speech.

The evening was organized by NBCUniversal to mark the opening of the Steven Spielberg Theater in Los Angeles. “This is a place built in honor of Spielberg and the legacy he leaves behind,” said NBCUniversal executive Donna Langley. “It is also a place for the future hopes and dreams of other filmmakers and storytellers who will meet this company for the next hundred years.”

Spielberg directed legendary films such as Jaws, E.T. and Jurassic Park. He has received numerous awards, such as the National Medal of Arts. That is the highest American award an artist can receive.
