In Germany, a minor Syrian has been charged for involvement in planning an attack on a Taylor Swift concert. The American singer would give three shows in Vienna last August, but they were canceled because of the threat.
The German justice accuses the teenager, Mohammad A., of support for a terrorist organization and the preparation of a serious act of violence.
A. would have had contact with a young man in Austria who wanted to commit a bomb attack during the Swift concert. He would have helped the man by translating instructions for making explosives from Arabic. A. would also have brought him into contact with a member of IS.
After the thwarted attack, the police already heard A. at the time. He was fifteen years old, but was not considered a suspect. He is currently free.
Apart from A., there are three other suspects in the case.
The shows in Vienna, which were part of Swifts The Eras Tour , would take place in the Ernst-Happel stadium. 55,000 people can go there.
