The police have arrested three people with Swedish nationality who are allegedly involved in a shooting incident in Oosterhout in March. Three men died in that incident. Two suspects were arrested in Sweden. The third was arrested in Germany.
A 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested in Sweden on Tuesday night. That same night, a 28-year-old man was arrested in Germany. It is not yet known when the suspects will be extradited to the Netherlands.
On March 28, around 4:00 PM, several shots were heard on the Loevensteinlaan. There, police found two seriously injured men in a car. One of them died on the spot. The other was taken to the hospital and died there from his injuries.
A third victim was found a little further away on the Sint Antoniusstraat, also in a car. He died shortly afterwards. Investigation revealed that no shots were fired at that location. Only shell casings were found on the Loevensteinlaan.
The police launched a large-scale investigation and worked together with the German and Swedish police. Among other things, many “nasty images” were collected as evidence. These videos were also seen on social media. The police had called for the images not to be shared.
Nothing is yet known about the motive of the suspects.
