Trade unions FNV, CNV and VVMC will submit the collective labor agreement of the Dutch Railways to the members and will suspend the actions and strikes on the track for the time being. It is not yet known what the FNV will do.
“We have received a final offer from the Dutch Railways. As a board we have decided to discuss this with our members,” says Wim Eilert. “We have decided to suspend the actions for the time being,” he says to NU.nl.
The CNV will also present the final offer to the members. “We always do that in such a case. So until that time the strikes have been suspended,” says director Henk Jongsma.
The FNV finds the final offer of the Dutch Railways disappointing. The trade union will consult with members in the coming weeks and the strikes will be suspended during that time. “It is not only about wages, but also about stopping working earlier for people with a heavy profession. The Dutch Railways offers no perspective for colleagues who now have to work at night and in shift services,” says director Henri Janssen.
The NS has met the trade unions with a new final offer. This wants to put an end to the collective labor agreement conflict. Both parties have been in conflict for months about wages and other employment conditions.

Wage
The railway company increases the last wage offer on Friday. The proposal was an increase of 3.25 percent as of March 1, 2025. That will be 4 percent.
2.75 percent will be added on 1 March 2026. That is an increase of 6.75 percent and an average increase of 3.4 percent per year over the term of the collective agreement.
The trade unions and the Dutch Railways are still not even about a new collective agreement after 4.5 months. The NS staff has proceeded to strikes and actions.
Since 6 June, trade unions have organized four strike days at the Dutch Railways.
