Eefje de Visser will release her new album Vlijmscherp on October 10th. The album forms a diptych with her previous album Heimwee.
De Visser describes Vlijmscherp as an energetic and electronic sequel to the more subdued Heimwee. “I wanted to release a colorful second part, with at least as much depth, but also danceable songs,” the 39-year-old singer said Monday in a press release from her record company.
According to De Visser, the two albums were written in the same period and complement each other in terms of content. “The songs are related to each other, they form one whole as a double album.”
Heimwee, De Visser’s previous album, was released in 2024. She received an Edison Award and a Belgian MIA for it.
