Ten dead and two hundred injured after nightly Iranian attacks on Israel

At least ten people have died and about two hundred have been injured in the Iranian attacks on Israel on Saturday night into Sunday. So far, there have been no reports of casualties from the Israeli attacks on Iran overnight.

Air raid sirens sounded in several Israeli cities overnight. Explosions were also reported. The cities of Bat Yam, Rehovot, and Tamra, among others, were hit by rockets.

In Bat Yam, six people were killed, The Times of Israel reports based on emergency services. Three people are still missing. In the Israeli-Palestinian city of Tamra, four people were killed, and in Rehovot, dozens of people were injured. The total number of injuries in Israel after the overnight Iranian attacks is around two hundred.

Israel also carried out overnight attacks on Iran. According to Israel, the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense was hit, in addition to several storage locations for weapons and fuel.

Dozens dead in Iran after first days of attacks

There have been no reports of casualties from Iran. Iranian state media report that they are searching for victims in the Narmak district of Tehran. Unverified images show Red Crescent workers searching in the rubble.

Iran reported on Friday after the first day of Israeli attacks that 78 people had been killed, including high-ranking military personnel. According to Iran, more deaths occurred on Saturday. For example, sixty people were reportedly killed when a rocket hit an apartment complex in Tehran.

Israeli operation expected to last weeks

The attacks between Israel and Iran continue on Sunday. The Israeli army has warned Iran to evacuate areas around factories where weapons are produced.

The Israeli operation against Iran is expected to last weeks, American and Israeli officials have told CNN. That operation also has the approval of the United States.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu already warned in a video address on Saturday that Israel will “attack every location and every target of the Iranian regime.” Iran, in turn, has threatened to intensify attacks if Israel continues to attack the country.
