Danny Noppert and Gian van Veen convincingly qualified for the second round of the World Cup of Darts on Friday. In Frankfurt, the Dutch duo was too strong for the Hungarian duo György Jehirszki and Gergely Lakatos with 4-0 in legs.

On Thursday, Noppert and Van Veen started the tournament in the Eissporthalle with a 4-0 victory over Italy. As a result, the Netherlands advances without losing a leg in a group of three countries. Italy and Hungary have been eliminated.

The Netherlands has won the World Cup of Darts four times. The last time this happened was in 2018. Then Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld appeared at the oche.
