The major outage that affected ABN AMRO customers on Tuesday has ended after a few hours. Customers of the bank had problems with PIN payments in stores and at ATMs. They also experienced problems with internet banking and mobile banking.
The outage started around noon, according to outage reports on Allestoringen. The site received tens of thousands of reports in a short time.
ABN AMRO confirmed the outage in a response to NU.nl. Shortly before 2:00 PM, a spokesperson for ABN AMRO announced that the outage had been resolved.
The cause of the outage is still being investigated. “But we are at least glad that everything is working again,” says the bank’s spokesperson.
