Michal Sadílek is leaving FC Twente after four seasons. The midfielder is making a move to Slavia Prague, the champion of the Czech Republic, for around 3.5 million euros.
With the transfer, the 26-year-old Sadílek returns to his home country, where he previously played for Slovan Liberec. That club briefly loaned him from PSV in the 2020/2021 season.
Sadílek had been under contract with FC Twente since the summer of 2022, for which he had already played on loan in the season before. He played 122 matches and scored seven goals.
“Sadílek is making a nice step to a club that will play in the Champions League. He has earned that,” says technical director Jan Streuer. “Michal is an example of a player who has always been fully committed to FC Twente, has grown enormously and can now take this step.”
Sadílek is the second regular player to leave FC Twente this transfer period. Earlier, Sem Steijn left trainer Joseph Oosting’s team for Feyenoord. He yielded the club from Enschede at least 10 million euros.
